actually, for many people here, using the metro is some kind of disgrace. most of my friends prefer to get stuck 2 hrs in moscow's unbelievable traffic jams instead of using the subway. personally i dont care - i live in the city center so its quick and easy...

re love of subarus -- word (i got a turbo outback with the street exhaust -- so 300 HP -- for the old lady (or is it little lady, can't remember))
re commuting by bike -- my giant simple just gave out this morning after 5 flawless years; somewhat disappointing, but that's a lot of mileage for $200

ahh.... the Fullerton stop on the Red Line. Brings back fond memories. I was there during the punk/new wave explosin in the early eighties. I remember seeing local bands like The Smashing Pumpkins and Ministry at the local pubs... and scores of others that never hit it.

Main ride.
Old 1992 Cherokee with 210,000K....broken clutch, smells like cat pee.
2005 E-Ton 50cc Scooter, currently in the shop gettin a 70cc "big bore kit" so she can be fast enough for the highway.
2003 Suzuki GSXR 1000, just sold it after 3, death-free years of hard core ridin'. (I saw 299Km/hr on the digital speedo, on the way to Kelowna BC two summers ago, fuckin' insane machine)
