symptohm by ohmforce is my current fave.

Why you ask? well it has melohman featurs and it is one of the best sounding synths that I have ever heard, hardware or software.

As for FX, nothing seems to beat UAD's compressors and the TC reverbs.

Whoa! I'm going to have to try symptohm by ohmforce. That's a crazy skin.

That's the funky skin; there's also a classic skin version that's more traditional. While I'm usually not a big fan of the funky skins, with Symptohm it fits...

I'm a big fan of Symptohm myself- in fact, I wrote the revision that's the current manual version

Well they all have their place :D .
That said I absolutely love the programming results I get from KUBIK 2.

It's got like 11ms of latency tho.

I used it for a little bit, then discovered I could make exactly the same
sounds with EQ4 and CompressorII...... Then got onto multidynamics.

Really? I was thinking along the same lines (maybe using a diff. comp.), just haven't had the patience to go really deep into tweaking and comparison.

Word on that. Absolutely.

For instruments, I'm diggin the Pro-53. I find that I can change patches smoothly in Live whereas all other NI products glitch out while I'm playing a midi clip.

I'm looking for a VST analog modeling synth with multiple filters that I can route in PARALELL, not in series. I used to be able to do that with my Andromeda A6 and my Waldorf Micro Q, but I sold 'em both. Any suggestions?
Have you checked out automat (osx)?
It has 2 filters in paralell. You select the filter by panning the osc. The signal comes out in mono or stereo, depending on the spread setting.
It's not an analog modeling synth. But it still kicks ass.
The sound could be compared with the pro-53. Too bad it still doesn't respond to program changes.
