what about midi / automation editing?

is the wave form in the sample view still dark blue, while the play back line is still black - very hard to see. and a bummer if you like the default skin.

fit sample view to loop range. can this be done without dragging the mouse?

The playback line is still dark. However, it now reverses the color as it goes over the waveform.

I thought L6 had fancy new meters in session view, but the meters in your screen shot look like the L5 meters?

You have to "expand" them. Just adjust the size of the tracks vertically to get the detailed meters to appear, and horizontally to get the labels to appear.

i think thats great, coz sometimes you wanna have details, but most of the time you dont so you can hide it...

Also, there are quite a few extra colors for selecting clip colors (48 to be exact). And you can pick the color from the right click context menu.

Its worth saying to all beta testers to read the help panel for L6b , just this one time

it does tell you about all the new features. I never read that damn thing usually, but in this case I've been using it to find my way around so I can test it right.
There is stuff mentioned in there that isn't covered anywhere else. Such as how you view the big meters , how to use the new track routing and how you get access to the 'secret level of 10,000 virgins', etc.

I just discovered an awesome one! You can now select multiple tracks (by holding down SHIFT) and then resize them. Or hold down ALT while resizing and it will resize all track at once... very nice

now here's a cool one:

I was editing the key zones for a device rack and I right clicked on the instrument name at the left and see "show names in midi editor"

I was actually making a drum synth so you can imagine my delight when I discovered that, lo and behold, press "fold" in the piano roll of a clip on that track and the names are indeed available to the left of the relevant keys like they are for impulse!!!!!!
