most interesting thing I ever saw on the matter of 2012 was some science guy turned hippy called Greg Braden's video called "zero point" - I watched about 10 years ago with my hippy parents, where he was talking about some relationship between a change in the schumann resonance frequency and changes in the earths magnetism that would somehow crossover in 2012 and that was when he thought would the polar axis will shiftglu wrote:oh shit, wanna bring in the Mayans into this, eh?
even a sceptical geologist friend of mine told me that they are pretty certain the poles have changed directions in the past because of the magnetic poles on basalt crystals deep in the ocean floor suddenly changing every 10,000 or so years - apparently that's happened a few times
he was still going on about ancient prophecies etc, but at least he seemed to back it up with some pretty logical sounding science
so all the prophecy stuff aside, there's a good chance the poles will shift at some point, and if that guy's theories are sound 2012 could be around the time
set that against a backdrop of impending world war I can see why some people are thinking there is truth to prophecies
one thing's for sure I will for one feel alot less worried about that in 2013, one way or another!
