His attention-seeking behavior is another sign of mental instability, too. Being able to command an audience, particularly through the anonymity of the Internet, can be a 'power trip' for those with insecurity issues.

Classic textbook case. The whole Mac-hater & penis size arguments help him to justify his own needs and shortcomings.

Let him do it. Humor him. It can be therapeutic for him.
They said at the zoo not to feed the trolls. Do we have any trollquilizer darts?

BTW, PCs are ok. I've just found that Windows is more work to support. I've worked in IT for 13 years, so I know my way around all the versions of Mac OS and Windows. The support needs are greater on the Windows side. For the techy user, this is no obstacle, but for the others, Windows can be more daunting to maintain. For what my time is worth, buying Macs saves me money. I also support Microsoft, by owning Office for Mac, and a copy of Windows XP and Office for the PC partition on my MacBook Pro. I also loved my Xbox, and now love my Xbox 360. Microsoft does great in my living room, but working on a Mac pays my bills.

this thread is retarded and all but, one thing he forgot was to factor in the cost of an LCD display. and not a shitty $199 "Visiosonica" bullshit one from Costco. the Apple LCDs are really high quality. that's gotta balance the cost somewhat. i can't even believe i'm thinking about this.

The psychology of this intrigues me.

My girlfriend says that his obsession with penis size possibly stems from a traumatic period or even an isolated incident sometime during his life. His parents or siblings may have teased him, he may have been ridiculed in the gym locker room, or perhaps was rejected by a partner for inadequacy.

Regarding the Mac/PC issue, my guess is that he's a frustrated musician who blames his own failure and lack of talent on his perceived unwillingness of the industry to accept PCs as being 'professional.'

Interesting stuff, though!

Not really. They are ok, but never been great.

The Dell 24" flat panel which has been under $800 for some time now has always had faster response than any of the Apple flat panels, which is about the most important factor besides screen resolution.... particularly for games.
M-Tech D900T laptop, 17" WSXGA+ wide-screen, Intel Pentium 4 3.4 GHz HT (600 series) 2 MB cache, 2048 RAM (Dual Channel DDR2 PC4200 533 MHz), Dual hard drives: 80 gig x 2 = 160 gig SATA 5400 rpm (RAID 0 config)
Korg Zero 8 mixer/soundcard/MIDI
