i'm trying to use the mp to trigger drumkits and other instruments in softsynths, but apparently the pads on my mpc are not mapped consecutively in order... is there a reset button or a way to set this up or do I actualy have to go and change each pad, thanks for your help and if you've got a template lying around and wouldn't mind sharing that'd be cool too
You have to go and change each pad in the notes page of the program window, but once you've done this you can save the program or even make it part of your autoload so you only have to do it once.
I prefer to hook up an external midi keyboard for this instead but the pads will do in a pinch.

thanks kuniklo I got it, but I'm having a problem getting the mpc to send out seperate midi streams, this is what i'm doing:
i've got a simpler and an impulse loaded up in live
i've got the simpler receiving on midi ch.-1
impulse receiving on midi ch.-3
on the mpc i've got 1 sequence and the midi out A
track 1-midi ch. 1A
track 2 midi ch. 2A
now the problem is i can record the two midi streams into Live but for some reason the midi chanels are overlapping so when i'm playing drums with the impulse if I press the c bank on the mpc and hit the pads it starts triggering drums and the sample that I've got loaded into simpler, even though they're on different midi channels.

Thanks for the Slicer Abe.

Huh. That's weird. It should work. I'm basically doing exactly the same thing here.

That should be it. You don't have a midi loop going or anything, do you?
