That would be a "bone" of contention for them...

Ok that has nothing to do with your arguement.

Did you watch the video from Carl Lewis?

BTW - You're wasting your time, you will be reduced to using the "I like meat arguement".

You'll lose this debate you started in this thread that was just asking if anyone was vegan.

Be a good boy and move along now....
Now you're just walking in circles. I watched the Carl Lewis video, it sounded like the only person into his vegan diet was him, he even talked about how his teammates shifted back to there normal diets. Don't try to patronize me.

Couldn't find a picture of broiler chickens, here's some egg laying hens. Either way they get their beaks cut off with a hot blade, because they're packed so close together that they start pecking each other.

Male pigs will develop a strong scent when they're older, so when they're little they cut off their balls without anaesthetic.

Male calves are raised in gestation crates, and given a special diet to make them anaemic so they don't develop muscles and their meat is white & lean. Veal is a byproduct from the milkindustry, that only has use for female Cows.

This is the high quality protein you eat, from sick and tortured animals.
You can tell yourself stories why it is alright, but if you look into your heart I think you would find something else.

Peace! :D

By the way, who the fack wrote that crap article. Saying that humans were meant to digest plants and not meat is RIDICULOUS. Our body has enzymes that are built around digesting meat. Plants have to be BOILED for our body to break them down.

Animals getting killed for food ain't pretty, but thats how its always been. I usually try to eat meat from organic farms due to animal treatment. I ain't quitting meat though

Here's how bacon ham & sausages get made. Imagine not being able to turn around for your entire life. Oh yeah, they pack them so close together that they start biting so they pull out their teeth and cut off their tails. It's not very nice for the animals that way but it's cheaper.

Or better yet, be a REAL omnivore - like a dog!

Next time your dog buries a half-eaten piece of meat and goes back to gnaw on it a week later, snatch it out of his jaws & go to town!

Prove your superiority!

I can't take somebody that compares slavery and eating meat seriously. Oh yeah speaking of murder, I can't take a hypocrite seriously either.

missjade wrote:hey guys,

so i've recently decided to go vegetarian & it's been a little bit of an adjustment for me, but i feel really strongly about it and i don't have any doubts about my decision. i'm considering going vegan as well, but i'm trying to make the transition slowly..

i just want to know if anyone here has done this & if it was really hard to adapt to that lifestyle..any advice/warnings/moral support welcome... thanks :D
i've been vegan since '98.
the hard part is basically not being able to go to most restaurants.
its a great thing to try out.
moral support ... i give you my full moral support! :D

eventually you end up trying some very exotic food. just happens.

a little off-topic, but i tend to switch to macrobiotic if i need discipline and study ... a doctor broke it down to me in simple terms -- all that's special about macro is that you never really get simple sugars, so your metabolism is more level as opposed to having swings.
i swear, when i was macro, i could study for hours on end and stay focused.
