Recommend any headphones?

I bought a pair of HD25 and they squeezed my head too much

Then I bought a pair of Audio Technica M40fs and they're more comfy for me.

I think I just generally don't like wearing headphones too much. I wear the headset at work all day. My ears need to breathe. That's why I'm saving up for Genelecs

I agree the HD25's are uncomfortable for long periods of listening. Anything that touches your ear has this effect on me.

Beyerdynamic has been mentioned, and in a decent price range: http://www.headphone.com/products/headp ... 250-80.php

They cup your ear and are comfortable.

But don't get them if you don't like bass. Seriously! they can shake your head

I love bass. So the Beyer's could be the option in that case then.

Someone mentioned Beyer 770's.

I think I'll check them out as I think I remember they cover more frequency range than DT100's

What you need to consider is what you will be using the headphones for.

If it is for music production then you dont want them to add or subtract frequencies to your sounds and samples. You need a pair of headphones with a flat frequency responce, that can easily handle wht you put into them, and that sound true to the sounds you need to hear.

If you love bass then you should add it, not have the headphones add it for you.

Personally, i can sit all night with my HD25's on my head without dis comfort. When in my studio however i usually play through my monitors. I use HD 25's for developing sounds and samples because if anybody else can hear they will get fed up of the same sound.

More than anything else i feel concious of people being able to hear them and im just more comfortable in headphones for that part.

I may get slammed for this.....

If price is an issue (which it often is)...I would recommend a pair of sennheiser HD 202's. Consider it a temporary solution untill you can really pour some cash into it. Great transparency, pretty comfortable, not expensive.

I had a thorough listen to about 15 pairs of headphones including some more expensive models and found that the 202's knocked everything else out of the water in the general pricerange.

Yeh I would like the headphones to have a flat frequency response & what I meant was I would like the low frequencies covered too. i.e as low as 15Hz- 22kHz.

Thinking about it will I be able to feel the frequencies as low as that as headphone drivers are pretty small?

Perhaps I won't worry about this too much now...

I'll just get the Sennheiser HD25's.
