As you already might have read in this thread, we are working on a solution to add support for Wacom tablets. This is all I can say right now.
My guess is that it just isn't a priority,
Well, the question is, how do you define what exactly is on priority and what's not? Check the wishlist forum. Each single item there might have highest priority for the user who posted it. We certainly can't work on all things at the same time.

Yes, I understand that.

And hopefully you can understand where the frustration arises for those of us who have been waiting for this to be fixed? You could possibly understand how some of us feel it isn't a priority? Even your response here is promising because for a very long time we received no response or acknowledgment at all.

Regardless of whether I am being rational or not I'm a paying customer so I reserve the right to occasionally bitch and I don't feel too bad about it because honestly, I don't do it that much and I don't ask for much.

All due respect and no offense meant.

I do absolutely understand your frustration and I do understand that people are complaining if some things have still not changed since they inquired them. It is also absolutely legitimate to vent your anger via this forum, BUT there is a huge difference between a complaint and a personal insult. This is an unmoderated forum, but this doesn't mean that everyone can behave like scum rather than an adult human being. For the user in question, I highly recommend to read this: http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=34944
been waiting for this to be fixed
There's also a difference between a bug that needs to get fixed and a feature that needs to be implemented. At its current state, Live does just not support Wacom tablets, as it does not support Linux and as it does not have a "make instant top 10 hit" button, period. And to add a final note, having paid for a software does not automatically mean that we have to design the software after your personal demands. Don't get me wrong, though. We are trying to fulfil as many user feature requests as possible, but we can neither make all wishes come true nor can we take care about them all in no time. Nevertheless I am quite optimistic that Live will work with Wacom tablets in the nearer future. It's not that we're sleeping on this one.

Well, I know that having paid for the software doesn't etc. etc. etc. - - I know that.

But I don't want to go any further because I don't want to be petty. Just so you will know, the bottom line for me is yes, I do get irritated waiting for the wacom "feature", I do worry about live becoming another bloated daw. But at the end of the day I am far from a dissatisfied customer, quite the contrary to be honest. In fact, despite having not upgraded for the last two versions I have to tell you that I am actually quite a happy customer. I would not even consider using any other application for my music making. I've been hooked on live since version 1.5

I am also home from work and ready to eat dinner, so I am happier all around.

In short, it is all good my friend. Thanks for listening to my bitching and thanks for re-affirming that tablet support is something that is in the works. Once it comes out I will most likely upgrade my software.

As far as the "other user" goes, you have just met TITBAG. I would suggest you read through this to get to know him a little better:

He's quite a colorful character.

Oh yeah I know his posts. I just had no sense for his "humor" the other day.

Does anyone have this file still? The link is broken @ http://www.digitalfabrikate.de/files/Pen2Live1.2.zip , and my searches through google have turned up short.

Why do I get the feeling that Ableton aren't gonna add Wacom support till version 10 or something. This is getting ridiculous. You hear "oh yeah, we are working on that"..... you look at the date of the post and it's like 3 years ago.

Here's a BIG question, are Live users going to be forced to update simply to get Wacom support, or will it be added on to older versions?

Here's a suggestion to get it implemented, tell your coders it's a priority, devote some actual man hours to doing it, and voila....it gets done.

Please post here http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php? ... &start=135
It seams that we have to has a high post count in a feature request thread to get it on the high priority list
