Hip hop did not start in africa, both of you are idiots.
it's about the drumming.
chill the attitude man, what's with the name calling?
Hip hop did not start in africa, regardless of its drumming possibly having roots in africa, Hip hop started in new york.

it's not a white guy and he's playing you like a used battle record.
I agree it's annoying but I'd rather wade through his bad ebonics than read some user's whining and name calling.

My opinion is hat hip hop has become so commercialised by the likes of jay - z, 50 cent, buster rhymes, etc etc that it is no longer the way it should be, the reason why hip hop was introduced is now gone.
Nigaaaaazz.
Im into techno BTW, and not a big fan of hip hop, unless i see the technicall ability on the decks, and a good MC.
When its done the proper way its cool
word
Except I'm the opposite - the only hip hop I give the time a day is Southern G rap - the lyrics are aweful and all the beats are the same but damn it's fun to listen to
every time I walk into Platinum and hear that MPC Closed Hat roll - I'm like "ugh, that's fat." <-- I'm being serious to.
I like that one song, "It's going down..." My old lady likes "I'm bossy" <-- cause she is - I guess the Public Defender group she works for has a theme song "Riding dirty."
you gotta love that shit :)

'im bossy' has a sweet/sinister string sample I guess it is, some kind of plucked thing. Way to go kelis - moving forward at least, who produced 'im bossy' ?

does it take much imagination to understand where he was coming from?
I agree it's a bit of a stretch, but czech dis siht out...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roots_of_hip_hop_music
In addition to this origin of modern Hip Hop, a primitive form of Hip Hop was first shaped by slaves that came to America in the 18th Century from West Africa. The scenic background is that slaves who were often tired and bored with hard work, started speaking out complaints or sang phrases that would cheer them up. These words were accompanied with claps or beats made by hitting a spot on their bodies. This shaped the very primitive form of Hip Hop.
ease up on the hating, please.

tell that dude about the hating, not me..
check his language..
but serious;
if you stretch hard enough, and in the right direction,
Bach is primitive techno..
in other words; (for me) hiphop is from new york.. period..
