Even though she said impeachment wouldn't be on the table, Pelosi supports investigations into such issues as prewar intelligence about Iraq and contracts awarded in Iraq to Halliburton Corp. and other companies.
In a memo sent to supporters this week, Pelosi stressed her priorities in the new Congress if Democrats win -- raising the minimum wage, implementing all recommendations of the Sept. 11 commission, cutting subsidies for oil companies, reducing student loan rates and making prescription drugs more affordable.
s'okay, because if the prevailing groundswell is that he should be impeached, then she can reverse that.
W: 'you said you wouldn't impeach me!'
Dems: 'changed our minds, will of the people 'n' all that'
W: 'you liars!'
Dems: 'takes one to know one.'

Spot on assessment of Hilary/rednecks/American politics, I'd say. Sometimes I wonder whose side the Democrats are on...Hillary is such an obviously BAD choice...she will NEVER win, because of her ties to Bill, because of her "weakness", because she is a woman, and because she can easily be portrayed as a New York intellectual-liberal.
Kerry has an amazing knack for saying idiotic things at the absolute worst time....so much so that it's hard for me to believe they are accidents. He was so bad during the debates, he almost had me siding with Bush, whom I've been against since 2000.
Americans will, at this point, not elect an intellectual, a "weak" candidate, a woman, a non-"white" person, or anyone perceived as too "radical".
That's right. We just want someone to Get'er Dun.

This is rather wise to say one month ago -- now that the elections are over we can most certainly expect hearings. Once the hearings are concluded, if evidence supports pushing forth with impeachment, I would expect it to happen.
Don't forget though, there's only 2 years to get all of this done.

if we are talking successful impeachments I would say Nixon was the last successfull one. what good did it do? i would say lots. It got him out of office and got him and and his party the shame they deserved.
to not impeach is to say, ok mr. bush, we accept your dark ways and grant you a pass to proceed. and any one who may follow in your footsteps will be granted that same pass because we are scared little pussies.

i agree, that was very wierd, and just recently during the elections he said all that shit about the troops which put the democrats under fire. i think kerry's and bushes skull and bones link hasd a lot to do with that last staged presidency, kerry acted so stupid it wass just that, acting.
lets face it, both parties are corrupt and will fuck the people over
but at least at the moment, when the democrats fuck you they do it gently and leave a mint on your pillow afterwards.
the republicans just full blown ass rape you with no lube what so ever.
we need to work with the gentler side until it all crumbles to pieces. it will be easier on us and the world. the world which is fucked anyway.

wrong wrong wrong
nixon was not impeached. He resigned. And I'm glad for it.....he pretty much sucked.
Now, I thought everyone knew this.
Bill Clinton was successfully impeached. Look it up

As for the what good did it do......nothing. It put a zero tarnish on his "flawless" service.
So, to even try and impeach bush would be a waste of time. Even if it succeeded, it wouldn't matter.

Not a bad post for your second.
i'm on this side instead of one or the other party......how bout it doesn't matter. The only winners are the politicians. They all have the same agenda, money and power......er, or maybe just ego.
It's not going to change anything.
And as I've said b4.......for those who getting "shit" on by these dictatorship little terds, we'll be there. Our troops will at the very least try and help you. We'll dump billions into your economy and stick up for you...even though you put us down all the time....we're good with that.
