forge wrote:the mega-quake program was just on telly last night - it was saying the cascadia region is likely to have a magnitude 9 quake some time and talking about what it would do to the PNW, not to mention bigger tsunamis than 2005 all over

then it was only a couple of weeks ago I finished reading a book that among many other things talked about yellowstone and how it's 20,000 years overdue and how it will cause global devastation, but the PNW will pretty much vanish!

so overall the PNW started to look like a bad place to live!!! 8O 8O 8O
Yeah, Austin is going to be a beach town, I am excited! I will have to keep my kayaks in top condition. Perhaps these geological catastrophes will happen in 2012?

I'm sure there'd be plenty of dudes whod be tempted!

they said on this show you'd get quite a few hours warning - it's you west coast peoples that'd get the full force - this is all after a massive 5 minute long earthquake mind you!

I grew up in Seattle and left 2 years ago for Manhattan. Couldn't be happier. They can keep their earthquakes/volcanos/tsunamis and endless grey skies and rain. Made me want to kill myself just waking up an looking outside.
