I just find it very sad that you fanboys are so easily impressed with shiny babbles and as beat makers you do not listen to the pulse and meter of whats being played???

With a little bit of effort you can find hundreds of better players on youtube

now thats more like it.

but are you giving homeboy less props cause he uses 2 necks?
NO, just so I am clear, I am saying, It is not good, its has no musicality in it, its empty drivel void of any real meaning and if you think its good then it says more about you than the player. Got it? Good. :P

I think he has timing and "feel" issues as well, but certainly his dexterous display was quite impressive.

The Stanley Jordan tapping piece was an example of superb musicianship in feel, timing and some very incredible playing as well (on 2 necks). But it is all subjective some people like Malmsteen, I don't.

One more from Beck - 'A Day in the Life'

it's not really fair to compare to Beck, obviously that shredder kid has talent but he's just a kid

I call on the Jeff Beck--guilty of uninspired, cause-Eddie-did-it tapping at 1:48 in the "Ended As Lovers" vid.

This only flew until about '82, Jeff gets no grandfather clause. The tapping solo to Beck's "Lord Only Knows" put the nail in the coffin in '96.

And the YouTube guy sounds like my dentist's waiting room.

though I do have to say I wasn't really feeling jeff beck at all. he's definetly talented but I just didn't FEEL it you know? not that I actually felt much from the youtube dude I was more just in awe of the virtuosoness of it.

He's vamping over the same phrase over and over again. Great technical skills, but it's guitar-sturbation.

His Day In The Life Cover is cute, he plays the melodies but leaves a lot of the tension building parts to the rest of the band. Still a great player.

Is he really playing or is this fake?

Initially it seemed to me that the sound didn't quite match his playing; kind of reminded me of a voice-over in one of those cheesy foreign films, just not as bad, but then the 1 minute mark hits (01:08 to be exact) and he's not even plucking any chords at that point, simply tapping the top head and it not only plays but makes a plucking sound???

Maybe it's me, any Guitarist' in the house?

he's definetly playing it, sometimes youtube picture and audio don't sync perfectly. you can look up other videos of his that prove he can play. the second link I posted shows him playing with a band where he does some great stuff.
