I used to want to be a chef. I love cooking though I rarely get into it.

I would tend bar if I wasn't such a lush.
It's not as hard as some make it out to be. All you need to do is pay attention to what you are doing, and everything just falls into place. In fact, i'd compare it to music production...cant let things sit too long, they go bad/stale...you have to be original...you have to prep your food much like you prepare you samples, in the sense that poor preparation makes for some disorganized and half-assed cooking...the list goes on.

fun job though.

I dress as Elvis Presly and stand on busy street corners in Dublin so that lots of people can come and find me as part of their corporate treasure hunt day.
Also have a wedding band for the bread and butter...

I'm working for a small software company that makes really boring banking software. I'm exceptionally motivated by this as you can no doubt tell

Actually I'm not really an elevator tester. I am a Publisher of court cases, but there aren't many puns for that. :(

I work for animal services for johns hopkins university.
We take care of all the animals used in research here.
rats, mice, dogs, cats, monkeys, pigs everything.
And before you ask, most of the research is behavioral, meaning no mutant cats or painful or scary procedures, mostly, mapping brain function by studying behavior under different parameters.
But I just clean up poop.
It's actually a great job, pays well, and if I hustle I can usually manage 2 days a week working in my office in live, after my work is done. :D

I have a history of low level jobs with huge impressive companies like GE, Cisco Systems, and Fisher Scientific. But wedged in between those I managed a liquid latex body paint company. I'm not talking about car or house paint. I'm talking about paint you put on the human body and it dries and turns to rubber. The high points were going to all the adult and lingerie conventions. It was also fun dealing with customers on the phone who thought our work environment was like the Playboy mansion with half naked supermodels roaming the halls. The reality was we were in a ghetto type warehouse ruining all our clothes with paint pigment.
