I've only just read this thread again (it's 2:30am and I'm going to bed!) - but I've got my Axiom49 set up perfectly(?!) today.
I'll put together a response tomorrow and outline what I did to get it working. But pretty much all I did was insall the Axiom Livepack, then do the Ableton Sysex dump to the Axiom49...

did you even read the first 5 posts in this thread?

yes I read them.
my problem is a little different, it could be a bug in my program.
the first time I did the dump everything worked fine, then one day it just stopped working and now everytime I dump it programs everything with the exeption the function that allows my triggers to change banks on the devices my encoders program but only work for bank 1,
so for example on operator, my encoders control everything their supposed to for bank 1, but when I hit the trigger pad to goto bank 2 it just playes
th note D.
This is the case for all three presets 18-20
It's mostly my fault for not saving those settings into enigma when I had the chance, and theres no refrence that I can find which says what
midi message i need to send to tell live to change banks.
Which I'd like to know anyhow because i'd rather have my trigger pads programed for something more useful to my workflow, i.e. drumloops.

It's still the same deal but thanks for the effort, For now im just gonna give the hell up, I've been trying to straighten this shit out for 3 days and I am freaking over it!
either I need a firewire connection, or my controller is bunk, like I said it DID work fine for awhile.
Mabie I can get someone from ableton to get me a list of their default dump programing settings, who knows
I do know being able to toggle back and forth between banks was nice while it lasted.
i guess i'll just have to go back to maping every single device and its controls manually on different channels
so much for adjusting on the fly.
well either that or i'm gonna go throw the peice of shit in the ocean.
anyone want a 3 month axiom 49, I'll throw the case in too for 140 bux

mine works just fine,
maybe it is because I am on a mac.
just an Idea
Did you buy from a reputable dealer?
Call M-audio and get an rma, or take it back to retailer.

This thread has given me plenty of food for thought, especially regarding workflow improvement possibilitys from the Axiom.
I just bought an Axiom 49 today, and Im just about to go through the tutorial ALP.
I really like the look and feel of the controller for the most part, but Im not sure how much I like the drum pads, they dont respond at all to light taps, and a couple of times I had them flamming, basically sending 2 quickly successive midi messages, despite just hitting them once.
Has anyone messed with velocity response in either Impulse or with the Axiom, to get the pads working a bit more smoothly?
