not with the plan I dont think.

60-100$ a month, plus 500 bucks

thats well over a 1000 for the first year.

I am thinking of getting W810i... People usually fall for all that extra shit that no one uses. Who is going to watch youtube on their phone? Thats dumb. Really is anyone going to use this for anything but music and calls? I think people who are going to buy this phone are the people that like to impress people by the features of their phone, even though they never use them.

the plan kinda gripes me to be honest. Cingular has an unlimited calling plan for $199 that doesn't seem to apply to the iphone. that's really gay and retarded. everything about that phone is just damn expensive.

plus there are people on craiglist right now putting ads out to wait in line for you at the apple store as they're lining up for this shit.

my timeline to get the phone: 2 weeks to 6 months. i hear what you're saying regarding the 2nd generation. but we will all see. the minute someone finds a glitch they will be replicating it and putting it on youtube immediately. i'm not so worried about that revisions for the product.

what's annoying is the price and the price of the service. $600 for the 8gig is pricey, but the service needs to ultimately include unlimited calling for me to going after this thing. I'll pay the $199, as it's for a business too, not just my personal bullshit.

I was stoked on the Prada LG Smartphone but that seems to be going by the wasteside quickly.

Had a look at my service plan options. Working Assets now has a "smartphone" that sells for $399. If I ever went this route, I'd totally pay an extra $100 for an Apple. Windows media player in my pocket? No f*king thanks!

And yes, I would probably end up watching YouTube on my phone. That's a sad admission, but it's the truth. When you really boil it down, the iPhone excitement is really all about what you can do in the bathroom stall at work.

I bet this time next year, the 2nd gen apple iphone will be up to the 60gig video ipod storage, and will be cheaper than $599. Technology, ain't it a bitch?

remember that there are a bunch of iphone competitors that are coming out soon. And Im sure they'll be anxious to beat the iphone price. Make sure to check those out.

As for me, I just checked out the W810i at my cingular store. And I think thats going to be more than sufficient for me, for about 400 less dollars.

I really doubt the plans will go down, that's actually not a bad price considering all you get.

i completely agree. folks waiting for cheaper plans are fooling themselves. i really don't see iPhone or its coupled AT&T plans getting any cheaper for some time. we're only gonna so obvious incremental storage and feature upgrades.

$199/month ain't cheap. that's a cheap car payment right there. but i can't see why they wouldn't offer it for the iphone for the initial launch. that's freakin gay right there. that's what's keeping me from getting it at this point. until they make it unlimited, i'm not parting with the cash.
