Not because I don't have anything useful to contribute or not interested,
but more because I don't let myself getting dragged into the mud on a interweb forum..
I do kind of agree with b0unce that US-OT's do contribute to the stigma though..
People starting threads like "Did you hear mr. Jackson' cat died?" are assuming everyone knows him, or the cat...
Point is; although the larger portion of posters here are americans doesn't mean some of them have to act as it were an american forum..

anyway, I used the word miopic because for the most part all I read around here are the fox news-like rants about how the US sucks and is totally fucked up, yet nothing about the countries the ranters live in.

We only get mass-media-witch-hunted on FOX when a native dutchy supposed to have murdered a US girl on the island of Aruba..
I'm the last person you have to convince the US can be a good place to live in, really..
