Don't hate me, Get even!! Those controllers are Doepfer Drehbanks, which unfortunately aren't being made any more, but you might find one second hand on ebay or craigslist.

I agree that fist pumping by itself is a cheap way to get a crowd going. I think a lot of DJ's do this and don't deserve the crowd's cheer.
