Just when I was almost almost finished completely replacing Acid with Ableton Live this issue comes up. Even with loading clips into RAM and increasing the update rate to 1/32 instead of 1/16 the program lags far behind in this area. The overall sound quality was better, but I felt it was severely lacking and it takes way too long to accomplish what I want. Make rewiring the tracks will help us limp along?

Hmm, crossfading within a track would certainly be nice, but also across tracks, i.e. say I have some clips in track 1 in arrangement view and then I have clips going off in track 2 arrangement view before the end of clips in track 1 to show a *change* in the track, call it what you will (which is where I'd be doing fading) chorus/verse/etc. Id like to be able to do it like the way Acid (and apparently Vegas) does, highlight track above (or below) and track below (or above) it and hit a key that automatically puts in the crossfades between the two tracks. Anyways I think we all have the same basic ideas.

As for session view....maybe for the envelopes would be nice (volume one in particular) for fade ins/outs as needed.
