I use Live as my one and only DAW. I find it easy to use, stable and it mostly does what I want. Perhaps I am easy to please, but there is little more I want from it. Occasionally I try something else out, but I keep on coming back to Live.
I like using the arrange window. I wish it would treat midi CCs like VST automation, and I wish it had curved breakpoints, and I wish it could overlay audio clips in one track. But it can't... so I use what I have got and try to make my best music with it. I don't think changing my DAW will make it any easier to make music, or make the end result sound better.
However, we all have different ways of working, all have different gear, so in then end its the buyer's choice.
Live 7 as main DAW?

Agreed. For some reason I always find myself finishing off a track in Cubase. Not entirely sure why but I prefer it.Cryptic UK wrote:Spot on.pat the dog wrote:i feel live is great for sound design and getting ideas together, but still lets itself down when i want to develop those ideas into a full arrangement. don't get me wrong, i have completed a few tracks using only live, but each time it's a bit of a headache compared to the workflow in other sequencers.
Live works well with Cubase, Logic and Sonar in those terms.
