fuck EDM live, they just hit play and check e-mail. ;)

favorite show ever had to be Primus at a really small club the day Sailing the Seas came out.

Morrissey - saw him 3 times this year
Foo Fighters - Dave Grohl is a great performer
Tom Waits - he's the man
Smashing Pumpkins pre-MCIS, circa '92 with the 17 minute long Silverfuck jams

Underworld - love 'em, seen them a few times but in light of the 'fakers thread' it really is true that they just do minor tweaks to tracks that are already playing. love to seem them just to hear Cowgirl really fucking loud, but meh. same with Chemical Brothers, loved them but enough's enough.

Yes, he just released a new album called "Ideology" which is imho really good. He's great live too, very much agree with that!

AbelCain, underground breakcore performer, was the best live act I saw last year. NONE of you fuckers rock a laptop as hard as THIS!

Great part is his music is good, and he's a really nice guy.
The shot is funny, but it's cool to see someone not try to act cool, and just get into it. 8)

The Bays
Schneider TM (last month in Glasgow didn't really work out but the sound system was pants)
Pole
Carsten Nicolai

But this years live highlights have been

The Boredoms
Sonic Youth
Patti Smith

We are lucky in Glasgow - amazing live music - but we need to do something about the incredibly bad sound engineers and soundsystems in some venues...
MacBook Pro Retina, Live 9.5, Reason, UC33, KRK RP5s, Teenage Engineering OP1, Korg ESX2, Korg Prophecy, Clavia Nord Lead, Bass, Guitars.

When you say "live act" do you mean act as in "acting"?

Last year's best live-acts where (in no whatsoever order):

Juliette and the Licks
Tool
Foo Fighters
Muse
Tori Amos

(NIN was good, but not as good as the others)
