I agree..Live 4 looks fun.
But I just missed the Live 2 to 3 free upgrade... so I gladly paid $80 for Live 3. Now if I want Live 4 ...another $120.??
Not only that but if you are still on v.1 it's still $120...

That doesn't seem right in the "customer loyalty" department.

I think the upgrade from Live 3 to 4 should be $80 again.
It seems fair...but whatever.

disgruntled paying customer...

get over it buddy.

if that seems exorbitant, try forking out $ 500-600 for logic, or whatever the hell it is they're charging nowadays.

my advice is chip in the $120 and welcome to the revolution.

seriously, for the amount of features they're introducing, $120 is more than fair.

Companies can only stay in business if they generate revenue. The amount we have ponied-up compared to what we spend elsewhere in our respective rigs is miniscule. Support those you love ! Dump those you dont !

Well I'll gladly fork over the $150 to get the cd, stickers and bonus loop library :)

I can't wait to add the new stickers to my laptop, computer and car :)

prick.
Live 4 is on the horizon...it looks great, I'm well chuffed and i think it will help my music, and i'm not gonna let what you said ruin my mood...it was probably a simple mistake but i think it was a bit harsh...
Sincerest apologies. I thought it was another Wildstyle type of joke. I hadn't seen it loaded on the main page. Can you forgive me?

Hulk, you appear to be a hair's breadth away from being a real stupid c*nt if you can hit a forum with a idiot comment like that.

It is even more ridiculous that you then crawl in with an apology...

Get a freeekin' spine, you fukwit,

wow, now YOU'RE a real prick. I was just retaliating to these deceptive wildstyle type posts of people who were saying how awesome live 4 was without an precedent. I was sorely mistaken...last i checked I apologizing when you've made a mistake isn't a crime.

yeah Live4 looks great...but what about all those other features we were promised?!? i'm talking about Sega Genesis & Nintendo64 support, Live webcam support, full control of soldiers & insurgents in Iraq, and dual fullscreen mode on one monitor. This is bullshit! i can't believe they expect me to fork over $119 dollars and i still have to compose and arrange the music! I already put my PC up on ebay so i can just install Live4 onto my clock radio, but did they offer support for those of us with only a toaster? noooooo! Live v1 was so much cooler...

I must admit I'm a happy as camper, the thing that you good folks complaining about the upgrade price have to really consider is...when you bought Live, you bought it for what is had, think about it, you didn't pay for vsti implementation or a midi sequencer tracks as flexible as Live audio tracks, not to mention all the other great features, so and its just my humble opinion but I don't think you're being reasonable. Live is no $18.oo cd with 1 good song on it lets be realistic, honest, and have some integrity about this whole thing. Ableton has created an application that alot of us enjoy more than our other software and hardware in alot of cases, the only question I would be asking myself is this 'is the program worth the price' ??

I paid for Live 1.0 boxed edition
I paid for the upgrade to 3.0
and I'll pay for this upgrade

the reason being, I also paid for sonar, and Logic, and they were not worth the money I spent on them.
I also paid for FL studio and Reason, they were worth the money I spent

you paid for a version of Live that was absolutely worth what you spent on it when you bought it, and this live 4 upgrade is worth every penny. think about it harder, you got what you paid for, and now they are offering much much more.

I concur totally.

Ableton is consistently the best buy for software.

Honestly, for a first time buyer, a thousand dollars Canadian would be reasonable. I know I would pay it without hesitation. $120 US is absolutely fantastic.

I am so glad that I bought the Native Instruments Komplete 2 bundle a few weeks ago... This is bliss!
