38 as of today... I don't feel it... Just finished staining my decks on my birthday.... Now to go have a beer on a patio.... It is sweltering here in T.O.

39 and getting fatter by the minute. Can there be a oldest and fattest consolation prize? If only I had hair I would go for some fine comb-over action to complete the picture.

I wonder also -- anyone out there find they are listening to much less music as they get older, or is that my own neurosis? I really can hardly bear to listen to anything these days, and my iPod seems almost worthless. Still, I am drooling over the thought of Live 4 and making my own. Then in a few more years I'm sure I will just drool for no reason, hurrah!

I think Mosca has a point -- maybe we should forget all of this whining about MIDI and performance optimization and get some kind of movement encouraging feature whereby the warp function extends around our tires...Hope I'm around for Live 10 -- $99 gets you a new chip n' the brain.

Hello Paul,

Pleased to meet you as well, I don't run into many of our 'kinfolk' in this neck of the woods. Spooky thing is, my Mom said Paul was her second choice for naming me, so maybe we are doppelgangers after all.

If by chance I am missing out on some vast Binns family fortune, I would be pleased to accept checks or money orders.

Well at the risk of further alienating ourselves with this great leap into O/T-ness, I would be happy as well to know about that bible's whereabouts. Are you by chance Scottish? A Scotsman once insisted that there are about a million Binns up there. My grandad was born in Manchester. Try Googling "Binns Inn" -- That is what Sir Cranky Jeremy is keeping from us, the rightful, noble heirs.

Well, there is still a ton of great stuff to be heard, with the advent of the net it's all over the place. Check out the indie sites like CDbaby, weed, acidplanet, garageband.com. Check out the streaming progressive net radio stations. My main problem is wading through a lot of mediocre stuff in order to get to the 15% of great stuff that's mixed in with it...

i would like to mention in this thread that after going thru all posts of the two sound qaulity threads here on the forum and after reading several postings on other forums dealing with the same topic i now feel _very_ old and very tired... so for now the title for the oldest guy here is mine.
