Arg! I *hate* this new feature. I just blew away my eq settings for a track by double-clicking on a new instrument. Thanks to undo I didn't lose them entirely but this is totally backwards.

I am using the external instrument to control a Doepfer MCV4 for an analogue synth. I have a monophonic sequence playing and 1 MIDI controller. I am getting stuck MIDI notes all over the place!!!!

(Also in L7.0.01)

The MIDI interface is a BCF2000 there is nothing else going on on the MIDI bus!!! I'm trying to freeze the track but it won't play properly.

Also, the audio started to crackle with the external instrument in 7.0.2b6

Just checked with an old hardware sequencer to rule out that there's something wrong with the Doepfer. There isn't - it's Live.

I reported stuck notes during beta testing of 7.0.1 too.
This is nuts, because I cannot record my analogue hardware synth to audio now. I tried making a set with just the 1 track, that's slightly better but still notes get stuck!

What's going on here?

Windows XP
BCF & BCR 2000 the BCF acts as MIDI interface

Just checked by reinstalling Live 6: No note dropouts.
Anyone else has this? Live 7 can't even play a monophonic sequence without getting stuck notes (lost not off mssages?)

Emailed Ableton about it...

XP SP2
BCF2000 acting as MIDI interface
L7.0.2b6
L7.0.1 also does this

Hi folks,

Meanwhile, the bug fix Live update 7.0.2 is available:
http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=84433

Thanks for all your effort during this beta round.

Of course we will continue to take care of bug reports and a beta phase for the next bug fix update will start soon.

Regards,
/Alex

Changes from Live 7.0.2b6 to Live 7.0.2

Bug fixes:

Dragging in certain audio files, already analyzed in previous version of Live, could lead to a crash.
http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=84178

The Temp directory would not removed when doing ‘New Live set’ and the current set has armed tracks.

Clips of frozen track could not moved or copied to other track. This bug was introduced with Live 7.0.2b6

Anyone else have the problem of Live locking up a lot with the new version? I thought it was my computer at first, but it turns out that if I open up live 7.0.1 there's no problem. :x

If you are using MidiYoke then that might be a reason for freezes. Live 7.02 seems to have some problems with MidiYoke that lead to freezes on my system (I cannot say though if that wasn't the case with earlier versions though).

"Dropping instruments onto tracks, pads or chains replaces the complete device chain and not only the previous instrument. "

THIS IS TERRIBLE!!!!!! PLEASE MAKE THIS AN OPTION :x
