I have a lot of those you mention but there are some that I will check out. I always thought tipper did really bass heavy breaks? will definitely check it out if he's done some slower stuff with the same kind of production. I'm gonna look into the deep chord one as a couple of you have mentioned it.

Compilation Lounge albums are also a good start for down tempoish music and lounge stuff. Check Portishead's myspace as well. Look up Rebirth Of Cool Phive and the rest of the series. Listen to Le Peuple de L'Herbe

Tipper's been doing more slower stuff lately, Surrounded is mostly chill, as are about half the tracks on his newer CDs too. It's not all Fuel style stuff by anymeans. The Shambala DJ set on his website is one of my favorite downtempo DJ sets of all time.

Though not new, Tipper's surrounded is some prime melodic downtempo, as is his new album "seamless unspeakable something"

Check lusine. Not all downtempo, but all gorgeous, and he makes plenty of dowtempo joints. I particularly like his album serial hodgepodge when I take out all the house/techno tracks and just listen to his downtempo jams. He gets bonus points from me for his latest album, "language barrier"- some of the best ambient music I've heard in a while.....

BLuetech. Can't recommend him enough. Quality music. Gorgeous production. Great downtempo.

Mr. Projectile is a really good listen too.......
