That's fine, but all facts and measurements say that there isn't.
It's adding machines adding numbers, mate. If something goes wrong, you'll have a click or a pop or other kind of glitch, not a lacking bass or a less of definition in the high end. It just doesn't work that way.

so to sum it up: if i would like to do the mixing in a secondary application, would you prefer sending the mixer tracks from live over rewire, or render to individual tracks and load into the secondary app?

anyone having trouble rewiring reason 3 into live 7 with regards to latency?

The good thing about a rewire is that you can save both application states, so when you go back to it you don't have to set them up again. Rendering individual tracks is already done. As soon as you record audio in live you have an audio file. You could just look it up and import it into the mixer DAW, given that you would want just the unaffected audio file to import and then affect it in the mixer track.
Either way some planning is needed, it basically comes down to what works best for you. I start to record in Live, save this as the original. When I rewire this project into Logic I then resave it as originalREWIRE. I am still working my way through it though and I still haven't found the optimal arrangement yet.
