Everyone who hasn't been there thinks it's a nasty shithole full of pissed-up Brits.

Everyone who has been there thinks it's a brilliant place and cried when they had to leave.

I think there is a lot to be said for not living your life vicariously through cheap TV programmes and the heresay of others.

Get out there b0unce - put on your dancing wellies, take that pig out from under your arm and go see the world a bit.

I think I'll just stay here and drive over the hill to Santa Cruz to check out the Beach Boys.

I don't doubt that there's hippies in the hills of Ibiza, I'm just being facetious really, I spent time-a-plenty on the road.....bumming down the east coast of spain all the way down to cadiz, ended up in one of those costa del sol shitholes for a night, the type of place with pictures of full-english breakfasts everywhere and union jacks, coronation street on the outdoor tvs....'sexy parties' central. I swore I'd never venture to such a place again, accident or otherwise.

San Antoni - the bit you always see on telly with the fat Scouse birds throwing up Bacardi Breezers into their laps - is a very small part of a very beautiful island.

Some parts are incredibly opulent, some are pretty untouched and rustic, some parts are remote and wild and some are just stunningly beautiful.

Writing off Ibiza because San Antoni is a dump is like spending a week in Rathnew and deciding Ireland is a dump.

Actually, in your case it's like seeing a tv programme about Rathnew and deciding Ireland is a dump.
