Who the fuck wants to go into the middle of a desert in the hottest month of the year to breath dust and patchouli stank with 25,000 male cyberpunk-hippies trying desperately to mac on the 20 single 'free love' females, who are mostly in their late 40's??

I could go on.... but hey, if it suits you, go.

LOLZ!

I enjoy creating Tarnce/Electro but do remix/mashups to spin locally. I do make backing tracks for more traditional local talent and OIC would have been a nice addition, but it was a bit high for me (reasons why are in the original new instrument thread.) I am constantly struggling with buying equipment/instruments that would either expand my "sound" as an Electro artist, or make me a better producer. Of course there are always the real life bills to be paid... Alas... choices.

omfg you're just bitter you can't go.

just go. I've been there, done that, twice, got quite involved. don't listen to MW, he's riding the same ignorant shit all the west coast haters play out who have no clue. you will see shit you can't even imagine. BM is a really amazing experience.

forge - Begby, what a cunt... but he's a mate. <sigh>

Not at all, I could go anytime I wanted. I have friends that go every year. I'm just severally burned out on middle and upper class leisure class expressions of 'freedom' etc. You forget I was born in SF in the height of the 60's, I lived on a commune, relatives are communist / socialist types etc.

I just don't get any kick out of pseudo spiritualism, and art based on it, if you do, and enjoy intense dry heat, dust, bad dance music, and a fake 'no money' system, then we simply sit on opposite sides of this track.
