yes. I'm a devout gear whore. got the gear sores on my syphilitic skin to prove it. I got the gear HIV+, the mad gear disease, the GIDS, I'm coughin up pcbs, can't digest my food without an intravenous oscillator. all that stuff.

And like the rest of you, I got a juicy paycheck burning a hole in my psyche, loitering in my bank-account like a crack-fiend in an alley. what eats me is that while they were designing this extra-charge subsidary ableton live device, they were taking their sweet damn time addressing real bugs for live 5. So the people who bought live 5 on release (me included) endured months of bugs, which actually got worse with each new update until 5.2 ...5.03 was OK, but still had some ridiculous bugs. So in less time then it took to stabilise live 5, they've announced its replacement (which they've been working on obviously, instead of bugfixing 5) and the bullshit pricing scheme is just insulting. absolutely no sign of any kickback for any of the live 5 early adopters.

not to mention I was actually expecting operator with the 'complete production solution' that was live 5.....well thats neither here nor there, but I feel like the marketing at the time was disengenuous.
