SH101 (grey with mod grip and Roland leather strap) was the first musical instrument I ever bought. Still got it, never sell it.

That's so fucking funny TITBAG!

Thank you everybody for your replies/comments. Some very interesting & insightful information.

If I land one for the right price, I'll go there for sure.

Everyone is way into reaktor. Trying to avoid it. Hardware is appealing atm.

May keep my eye on 2nd hand mc202. You never know what pops up on ebay.

A close friend had a Moog Liberation, new.(We were both mad Devo fans) It was really great, but had it stolen. Bloody thief!
That was a long time ago, but I still remember losing many hours lost in the moog maddness.

hey, you might want to look at the "neptune 2"

http://www.spectralaudio.ch/

i've never played it, so i can't really speak for how it sounds, build quality, etc. But the specs make it look really fun. and it's cheap. i want one.

but, yeah, get the 101 if you can.

the mc202's main difference from the 101 as far as i can tell (i've never had a 202) is the LFO. The options for LFO are much more limited on the 202.

Thanks muff.
When you start to look around, there is so much choice.
It really is hard to settle on something. I've got it down to about 23 choices. 8O

I'm going to take my time.
