for me the choice was between genelec and adam. decided on A7 and they're great. even in my unprepared bedroom. just rock solid.

KRK V8s, absolutely sick and they have come down in price since I got them. They have definitely turned my mixes around. Good clear sound.

Dv247.com have sent out only one monitor as that is all they have in stock. So they will ship the other one wen they get more off mackie. And they have no clue when that will be. Arse!

tascam vl-x5's. very good, very flat response, and very affordable. if you get it sounding good with these suckers it will sound good on anything.

they've been replaced by a newer version, and I'm not really sure what the consensus is on those.

but over at gearslutz.com the vl-x5's have been consistently praised. and those folks tend to be pretty picky.

I've got some Alesis M1 Mk2s and they're nice, but I'm getting a bit sick of having to over-mix the bass into them. REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want a pair of the new Genelec 6010s, though; desktop-sized, and they pack a massive punch.

Going to buy some £90 Edirols for now, just to keep the space to a minumum. Them bloody Gens're £400!!!

Got one delivered today. It is fuckin HUGE. Very impressed, cant wait for the other one. Although there is a ringy sort of noise cmin thru. Not noticable wen music is playin tho. Is this normal for new monitors. And again. HUGE!
