www.panicnow.net is the address of my co-op webhosting (also i'm not taking on any new users so don't ask :) )

The Tibook Usegroup is not dead. Just not used. I still get one or two requests to join every day, so it is growing pretty fast. I just don't understand what we do with the list. Is there a way to do a group email or something?
Anyway, I am very happy to welcome anyone who would like to join our club.

hey man. i don't know what the deal is. i really think it's just a list of people. i guess it's useful to see all the other TiBook users so you can send PMs but it would be nice to atleast have a simple little chat scenario or something. or even do a mass PM. glad to see peeps are jumping in though. hey, what happened to OSXaudio.com? it's down and out.

I don't really know what this is supposed to be either, it should become a separate Forum as far as I'm concerned. I am still a prospective Ti user, and as often mentioned here, not yet convinced of the Power in the PBooks (compared with other laptops)
but I am super hungry for all information from users (Live/LOgic), positive or negative!

hey tj, the weather just got back to normal, 60 degrees and cloudy, just the way i like it. not a moment too soon, any more of this 90 degrees crap and i'd start cappin'. jesus...this has nothing to do with this forum.

performance smormance...tibooks are all about pimpin' style. can i get an amen.

is it possible for a post to not only have no point, but to have actual negative point?

Perhaps. Although I admit to weakness for Apple design sensibilities, I really wanted something that would work "out of the box". So far, My MOTU 828/Tibook combo has done exactly that and I am making music instead of phone calls to tech support. At the moment Apple may not be winning any races but they have fewer pitstops.
I know this because I also own a PC and a OmniStudio/Delta 66 which has been nothing but trouble.

i don't understand these raves about operating systems.

i also own both mac and pc. if you are nice to your computer, keep buggy shareware, CRACKS, and weird websites (iexplorer view) away from it--you will be happy with it and don't need no 'tech calls'.

let's talk about the software and the music and not the needs and politics to run it. for osx / jaguar / xp / etc talks why not go to forums dedicated to it.

ps : buy a mac :)

my sobered reply:

i wasn't getting on tjwett's case for switching to a pc, because he wasn't. he's selling his tibook and getting a desktop, and since this is the 'tibook usergroup'...i'm giving him a hard time. settle back. i realize the futility in the whole pc/mac pissing contest and i don't care what os anyone is using.

that said...don't just buy a mac, buy a tibook.

peace out.

k

p.s. in an effort to have this post retain some excuse for being in this thread, is anyone gigging with (or just plain using) two tibooks (or a tibook and an ibook...or two ibooks)? what's your set up look like (sync, i/o and whatnot). anyone using steinbergs systemlink? double points for people hooking up os 9 on one machine and x on the other. supermegatriple points if you're the cats from 4+4=monkey (a fuckin' great show at emp). i know you use live...what's the word?
