Do you actually use that sampler or did you just never get around to turning it off?

i am having utmost fun with it already (you guess which one it is, right  ). also you can't really see it on those pictures, i needed to mount additional table feet underneath the desk, the weight of all the gear was a little to much for the cheap ikea desk and it started to wobble dangerously, now all is sturdy and secure again.

and as usually, sorry for the mediocre photo quality, i don't have a proper camera.

Thanks! I use all the gear you see. I have a hard and fast rule in the studio - if something is not serving a purpose, out it goes! Too much shit to keep working properly.

EDIT: The E-MUs are rack fillers in the studios of people who don't know jack about them and buy them just for "status"... because "a friend told them they're good for drum'n'bass"... which is sad.

With all that stuff I have to ask.. First of all, do you do gigs? and second, do you have a stage setup with a laptop/etc, it just seems like such an insane transformation from a sick studio like that to a small gig ready setup, wondering how it gets smooshed into a live thing if that's what you do.

EDIT: lol I guess other than spinnin' vinyl.

it is an ordinary 'kitchen' TV wall holder from a DIY store.

@ Rave, coming up my friend... the funny thing is that i have this thing since 2 days now and i feel that it is going to get me into sampling (i mean the real creative type, besides your ordinary drum hits) the first time ever, it is somehow odd, i even owned a mpc 2000 xl once and it was not much more then an advanced drummaschine in comparision... that damn maschine is just breathing so much fun and ease into what i am doing... not a single regret yet to starve for it for a while.

and one more thing, the pads on maschine are really great and much better then akai pads, but they still don't match up with the PadK ones, i thought i will be able to get rid of the PadK, but i will hang on to it, the feel and precision of the PadK is still unmatched!

My Live setup is a MacBookPro 15" with Live Suite 8.1.1, MOTU UltraLite mk3, Ominsphere/Stylus RMX/Trillian, a Novation Remote 37SL and a Launchpad. I convert segments of my original tracks into MIDI and audio clips and play/remix them live that way. I usually pre-build a "foundation" set where I have all my clips loaded and the signal flow and mix layout already established so that I'm ready to go as soon as I load it. Live is basically an Akai MPC on tons of steroids for me.

I used to do a lot of ambient but now working on a dance album. You can check out my last ambient single at http://www.sergep.com. The dance tracks will be up there when they're released.

I have been trying to make my studio space that bit nicer as I think it is important I am comfortable as possible. I also got an extra chair in for collabs.

I also got a full on club laser in the post (i ordered that last night - was a bit drunk :o )
