It's on my to do list, somewhere between finding a bigger place to live and getting round to the million things work want this week :) .

^ more to the point, put some foam under those monitors!! there's no way you can get clean bass from monitors sitting on floppy stands that are sitting on a thin piece of wooden desktop.

Foam wouldn't do anything for the reflection from the window but Tone is right about the desk. Do you have a hard time getting your mixes to translate Lucien?

I meant foam under the monitors.

you either want your monitors to be sitting on a heavy rock solid surface or completely floating in space. a rock solid surface is more bass, you might have to mellow the bass control. floating is less bass, just turn up the bass. anything in between is the floppy stands doing unpredictable things to your frequency response. you want the effect of the mounting to be 100% or 0%.

But it relates directly to the image posted.. instead of "which sub should I get" "get this one" "no get these monitors and no sub"

At least you're not quoting with the damn pictures every time you chime in with a few words.
