I usually prefer the villains to the heroes.

Great movie. I also liked Tom in Interview With A Vampire. I really need to see Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut.

Has anyone seen "The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas" ?
I just finished watching as part of a class I'm taking. There's some historical inaccuracies and maybe some liberties taken that's resulted in a bit of controversy surrounding the film - or I should say the book that the film is based off of - but for it's part I felt the film was excellent - and I was absolutely floored by the ending.
Not much more to say, just curious if anyone's watched it.
On to "The Grey Zone" next.
It's going to be a depressing evening.

Freaks is a great movie - gets
really creepy...
And for more creepy carnival shudders, this time in Film Noir style:
Nightmare Alley

The Revenge Of Billy The Kid;
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102783/
(my sincere apologies for bringing this to your attention, especially the bit with the 'lard lube')
----------------------------
Had to watch 'Black Swan' with the wife over Xmas; Not bad in fact, a bit ballet-ey but some nice girl/girl action in the mix.

Seriously...........WTF???
1 hour 29 minutes of misery, pain and death with no plot.
I think it got lost after the first 30 seconds.
But, I did watch it all in the vain hope that it would turn into a SciFi epic.....

I actually really dug this flick. The tendency to want to really read something spiritual or existencial is strong because of the way the visuals and narrative and editing is done. It's actually a very straightforward story. I didn't know this at first, but then I hopped on the interwebs immediately after it ended because I was like WTF??? Now, the film might be a fail because I didn't know what the fuck was going on at the end, or I might be a fail because I cared too much and looked it up, or.....

Easy A.
Great little film; harkening back to the best of the John Hughes 80s movies. Pretty good stuff.
And, of course, Emma Stone is very easy on the eyes.
