Through all this, there is one other very interesting thing:
Kazakhstan has also been a source for oil for this pipeline that goes through Georgia, transporting from their side of the Caspian fields to Azerbaijan for shipment via the pipeline.
Two things have happened since this whole f'up:
1) A major Russian shipbuilder has signed a joint agreement with another shipyard in Singapore, who's expertise is in oil vessels.
2) Kazahkstan has suspended operation of it's Caspian tankers.

Hmm. Big Props for the Doctor Who image. I'm a major Who fan. Hey, who knows? This could be the start of a beautiful relationship!

Your nicknames for me are clever, but you're insults are definitely lacking. Fairly pedestrian stuff. Hey, you wanna come over this weekend for a Doctor Who Fest?

"Take whatever you want! It's all free!" said a Russian special services soldier in wraparound sunglasses, driving a looted BMW.
Once again.
What is it with these guys and their Hollywood poses and posturing. He's a rugged, rakish, handsome devil though. I'll give him that. I bet the Georgian's didn't know whether to run or ask for an autograph from Brad Pitt here.

This is an interesting newspaper to read, you get perspectives ranging from commenters "wishing for the good ol' Soviet days" to Western political analysts.

My God. Sanity from Deep Within The Bear. Good article.
I'm afraid Russia might end up owning the place without the legal title to it.
^^^Perfect line.
