That's most likely what I'm going to be going to school for. How's she like it?
It's pretty brutal, but she thrives on it. Amazon is a great company to work for, though they require you work a LOT of hours.
I like organizing bigger picture projects while predicting and planning for any step in the process going horribly wrong so I thought it might be a field I would be good in. I'm sure the brutal factor is relative to the size and success of the company.
I read recently that Amazon wants to open some big distribution center in CA that will employ about 7,000 people.

I did some project management before when I was working in Bio-tech, it's interesting to put it mildly. The biggest thing is just having to deal with so many different groups (and their agendas) in a corporation, not to mention personalities. Engineering wants to use the latest and greatest, Accounts want it done as cheap as possible, Management wants it done two weeks early, and the people actually implementing the work don't want to do it at all. If you can spend every day reconciling those forces without having a stroke, you'll do well.

You know what's great? This thread is increasing post and view count based purely on the release of a non-Apple product.
That's how the Universe is meant to work, right there.

That doesn’t sound fun at all.
Really it seems like there is a growing amount of business sub degrees out there. So I’ll probably tell the counselor what my interests are (and aren’t), what I’m good at, and then ask where’s the money at, meaning what area has the most growth that might also cater to my interests.
Tim Cook – supply chain management…point me in that direction.

I just saw polychord can do this:
http://polychordapp.com/
"Supports MIDI via WiFi, USB, and virtual MIDI between compatible iOS apps."
Are there any other apps that offer Midi via USB?
Do you mean CoreMIDI, or midi sync? There's a lot of apps that let you use a midi keyboard with them now. NanoStudio, Sunrizer, iMS-20, GarageBand, etc.
No I mean using a USB-connection to the computer instead of a wifi-connection. But it seems the polychordapp can't do this either... I couldn't find any hints on how to do this... except for the jailbreak route maybe... but then it would be lame if they claim the app could do it but it requires a jb.

I've been looking for an app that polychord specifically defines, and I only have an ipod touch right now, dammit.

I would like to be able to control live or anything else via a usb-connection instead of wifi.
A usb/midi-cable? That would require an adapter, to connect it to the Ipad, I guess?

Yes, you'll need the camera connection kit if you get the USB adaptor.
The state of wifi music apps for the iPad is now pretty much ROCK SOLID.
Be warned: Controller apps like touchAble or Griid work only with wifi because of various reasons.

Hm, it's about a 3rd lighter than the iPad, about 200 grams lighter.
I won't even pretend I have a clue of what that would feel like.

I didn't expect it to be more of a well rounded media device; I'd say $150 would be fair. Still, if I had an iPad2 I don't think I'd think it's too heavy for reading. I'm sure Stephen Hawking could pick one up and hold onto it for a decent amount if time.
I thought this was kind of funny
"System Requirements: None, because it's wireless and doesn't require a computer."

It’s seriously too heavy to hold up for an extended period of time like you would reading a paperback book.
