SNL's Seth Meyers on the new Amazon Kindle Fire:
"It's expected to sell well among parents who always buy the wrong thing."

By the way...

A doped-up, skeletal, comatose, incoherent, final days, wasting away Steve Jobs at an Apple event is still about 1000X more exciting than Bezos announcing the new Kindle Fire.

Jebus, that's horrifying.

You can even hear the sound of the door in the auditorium closing as the last person leaves the event halfway through.

Tomorrow's keynote isn't going to be live streamed. :x

Now I’m picturing Tim wearing a smoking jacket sitting in a reading chair next to a faux fireplace. :x

Considering Apple’s “Flash is UTTER SHIT” vs. Adobe’s “No it’s not” early battles Adobe sure seems to be dry humping idevices a lot lately.

Oh. Of course, it's complete fucking SHIT that these apps are available on Android first.

ffs.

All 12 people doing graphics on Android will be pleased, I'm sure.

This is where Adobe is totally fucking retarded, and letting their butthurt get in the way of smart business.

Android initial release.

Please.

My prediction for the first 5 hours after the release of iOS 5: Loops and Beats yelling at their iPad, trying the new voice recognition stuff. Bringing this thread to page 400 in record time, prompting David to delete their accounts, make their posts vanish which subsequently turns this in the oddest 3 page thread on the forum.

Btw.. Loops and Beats? How did it take me so long to see that joke?

It's rumored that Assistant will only work on Apple hardware that is about to be released, not existing hardware. :x

Gizmodo is still blacklisted from Apple keynotes. :P BITTER. :x

The dude may not be the most enigmatic public speaker, but he's got some pretty impressive products lined up there. I bet all of the new Kindles are going to do really well. Amazon is poised to kick some ass. Premium products at a non-premium price. That will resonate with many wallets.

I could see me getting the Kindle Touch 3G. It would sit there nicely in my backpack alongside my iPad 2. The iPad 2 will be there for malignant content consumption, the Kindle Touch 3G for actual reading and learning.

The Fire? Not for me. I've already got an iPad and I'm happy with it. I'm sure Apple will lose many iPad sales to it, but the company that should really be sweating is Google. They've got to worry about building Creme Puff Sandwich, competing endlessly with their own product, and now they're going to have to compete in a hardware market by manufacturing Motoroogle tablets that hit the shelves with negative margin. Every tablet sold will eat $50 of captial... that is, if they can manage to sell any at all.
