Cannot recommend this enough. Absolutely stunning film.
Seriously? It's the premise of the entire movie, not exactly a 'spoiler'.oblique strategies wrote:Thanks for spoiling it for those of us who haven't seen it yet.
I saw no one cutting off their arm in the preview... My guess is that the film makers figured it just might have more dramatic impact if it were not expected.AceLuby wrote:Seriously? To be fair this movie was based on a real event that everybody knows about, and which the film pointedly declares is the basis. It's kinda like if they made a movie called "9-11" and someone said the world trade center gets blown up at the end, not a spoiler really.oblique strategies wrote:I saw no one cutting off their arm in the preview... I don't read reviews or critiques of films before I go to them. Nor do I ask my friends for reviews. I think the film itself is best qualified to tell it's tale.
By your logic I could argue that revealing the mystery of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho to someone about to watch it for the first time is permissible.
Not bad, you did it again. I honestly didn't think you would go there. Oh well, I guess it's true what they say: give a man enough rope & he will hang himself.LoopStationZebra wrote: So, while it kinda sucks that you didn't know that plot point, I don't think it's by any means a 'Psycho: OMFG It's his DEAD MOTHER up there and he's cross dressing! moment.
