Did anyone notice they are still working on Live 8. Check the beta section.

I'm very satisfied with 8, mostly because I use other DAWs as well.

I gotta say though, the "new" features in 8 argument against being antsy for 9 is hilarious, as funny as expecting that Ableton are just sitting there "being rude" by not getting 9 out!

Amp was a free instrument only to the most dedicated users who own Live's add on Suite, it hardly counts for everyone, so it hardly counts.

Soundcloud integration- well that will be pretty useless in 4 years when Soundcloud is replaced by whatever sharing medium is popular then.

Anyway, looking forward to the announcement of 9, which as we've been told by an employee on these forums will not be announced until after Bitwig get their beta out. So we wait for the Wigs, who in response are trying to add in all the future improvements to their software talked about on their site. This should get interesting!

I've moved on to Logic 9 at this point. There's only a few functions in Ableton that i miss, like the ability to put multiple samplers on a chain selector, and that the exs24 doesn't have a Forward/Reverse sample loop option (??).

I don't own any Ableton products yet you fucking retard. I'm not going to jump in to 8 and pay a whackload of cash when they could conceivably drop 9 on us at any time. Use your skull.
