Oh i couldn't resist posting in here... I tried to resist but i couldn't.

People record beatiful music that doesn't come anywhere near a computer.. on to tape... shock horror!

Im sure there are some phase issues going on there somewhere.. but people need to stop looking at waveforms and just use their ears.. Yeah, if your excessive with stuff live can sound 'bad' but just gotta know how to use it ?

i just want to let everyone know that i have re-evaluated my position on this matter. I now believe that ableton is just a toy for dj's and will be doing all of my pro work in a dedicated pro environment made for pros and built to professional specs.

I have switched 100% to pantaloons superiour version mobius (pro edition) for all of my recording and mixing purposes and will now only use live for making light-brite style pictures with colored clips and epic trance dj sets.



maybe live 8 will have pro sound quality.

You're so right and i'm so afraid of the day when Timur finds out that the pantaloons superiour version mobius is our dark side development project we all use privately at ableton and that Live is only there to keep Timur and his craving for hardcore-testing and speculaions busy.

I interpret that statement as "Professional people do professional music on Live so what's the deal?" and that's true. But that doesn't mean we cannot discuss its flaws and shortcomings and that some people actually want to know about it in order to make educated decisions. Besides, I suspect that with a number those professional productions final mixing is done after Live (noob pun intended) in other software or hardware in order to circumvent most of Live's culprits.

It is rather rude by Ableton staff to be making fun of someone who is a paying customer and trying to help you improve your software.

Especially considering that much of my time spend by on "hardcore-testing" this indicidual was spend in order to help you reproduce obvious flaws. Not to mention that we talk about flaws that can be reproduced within minutes, albeit you keep failing to even understand the issue. Other people might have given up already, but some people feel motivated by so much ignorance and lack of qualification to show you every possible viewing-angle on the flaws in order to help you acknowledge them.

No, actually we're thankful for every hint that helps to improve Live and this includes you. We're known for that.

What i criticise on a regular basis is your negative attitude in communication and false assumptions as well as the time i have to spend to defend your presence in the forum every time we get a complain caused by your behavior.
Let's stay on a technical level without being too emotional and we all benefit, don't you think?

My attitude towards service is mostly not negative, but neutral. But how positive do you expect someone to be who is not being serviced for several months. I've got better things to do than explaining every bit of a product's functions to its own support staff.

I am very technical in my approach towards Ableton and that is one of the most common complaints about my attitude. The only time I got emotional was when after so many months of lacking solutions I felt punked by Ableton support for their lack of either willingness or qualification on handling technical matters.

Although I have to admit that I might sometimes feel emotional by seeing forum fuckheads write about raping my 14 year younger sister or abusing women in general. That and other abusive idiocracy can make an intelligent and socially adept person feel emotional. Hopefully you wont receive mounts of complaints into your mailbox now.

It is audible and it cannot be corrected when a) it's dynamically changing and b) you are using Live (Scene launch) at a live gig.

cables, speakers with 10mm nicotine on the membrane, hundreds of people shouting

room, and i was SO WRONG. It was all LIVEs fault...
