Please, Ableton. Let's add this feature. Don't worry about adding more built-in instruments and effects, until we cover the basics. We like to use third party plug-ins for those. I know you want to get us hooked on Ableton's new instruments and effects to make it hard to switch to competing products, but listen, we are already hooked on Live without you having to do that. Are you listening? I said WE ARE ALREADY HOOKED ON LIVE! I can't use anything else as nothing comes close to Live in providing what I need. That's why we need features like more than 128 parameters on VSTi's, because I'm addicted to live.
I haven't upgraded to Live 7 yet, but I will soon. I'm waiting for more than 128 parameters for VSTi's. What are YOU waiting for?

one example
it's impossible to automate the on/off-button for the arpegiator in fm8 and you can't automate the volumes of the single operators. and this is realy essential in fm synthesis.
perhaps it would be an good idea to add a learnfunction.
when you expand the vst in the details-view, first you see nothing.
then you can add single paramters for automation via a drop-down-menu (with ALL the parameters inside) or you click on the "automation-learn-button" and move a knob in the gui of the vst.

Bought Alchemy for the holidays... just to find myself working around the 128 parameter limit shit again. Way to go
Sounds great, btw.
And I love Live.
But this is one of the most embarrassing neglected audio software feature requests of all time.

Better to late than never i suppose! Should be a free update for all previouse versions!
It's a fix not an improvement! People should not have to pay for that feature!
At least you listened to your customers in the end, stubborn mo fo's!

and they did it just like this.
this gives you also more overview and you can find a control faster when there are only the ones you need.
but was i the trigger for that idea or had they only the same idea befor

it would realy feel great, if one of my ideas is implemented in live
