These two pics alone = FTW.

Anyways, the A7's finally arrived! They sound so tight! Here's how the full setup looks right now. Messy, I know. Need to tidy up.

Tidying up can wait. Time to make some musics!

Metasonix S-1000 Wretch Machine! Vermona Re-Tube-Verb reverb! Warm, glowing tube goodness! :D

Maybe time to add a Muff Wiggler, Assblaster, or Butt Probe for your Wretch Machine

To make something in the same (or almost the same) quality like GIK Acoustiks products then +1
Also Glenn and everybody in that company are very helpful and know exactly what they are doing and what they suggesting (they helped me in the past even if i never bought something from them)

On the other hand if the budget is limited there are much cheaper (not so good but much better than nothing) DIY solutions

First off sloppy iPhone post.
@oblique I bought the wretch as a package deal with 4 Metasonix boxes and the vermona.
Traded two plus a little $ for the Evolver, and recently sold the other two to pay bills.
The Wretch seriously doesn't need any help being ugly!

@3dot they're Samson rubicon 5a's. Not bad sounding at all, Really good IMO, but Samson is shit quality.
I've had to replace one of the drivers and I have them now permanently at 2/3 volume.
Ran out of money big time, so they'll do until I kill them again.

Distortion is underrated in electronic music, too many 'purists' who think
control is everything etc. Funny part is this is as clean as the studio ever
gets! I don't get super tidy studios???

As I wrote my post I had a feeling that you were going to say that!

I couldn't agree with you more. Distortion is magical.
Machinesworking wrote:too many 'purists' who think control is everything etc.
I'm a big advocate of letting the machines &/or the process assume some of the control. Much of the music I make utilizes improvisation, synchronicity, & randomness. Sometimes the best thing is to lose control.

@oblique Yeah it's funny having a real life drummer though reigns you in a little as far as getting nuts. There's a few songs he's going to have to go over with me to make work for him. If the beat turns around or far too abruptly for a human being goes from a mechanical beat to 1 and 2 and etc. it really isn't very fair to the guy who MUST follow it. We're talking about a drummer who gets mass amounts of accolades for his awesome sense of timing too, so it's not him.

Looks good! Sometimes I kind of miss my old ER-1's (yes, I've had more than one, though not at the same time).
