On Wednesday morning, Adobe confirmed rumors that it will end development of its Flash Player plug-in for mobile browsers.
Danny Winokur, Adobe's Vice President and General Manager of Interactive Development, announced the decision in a blog post, explaining that the company will develop native apps for mobile platforms and will focus on the HTML5 web standard, but that it will abandon new mobile browser plug-in development following the release of Flash Player 11.1 for Android and BlackBerry PlayBook.

My predictions for Apple 2012:
15" Macbook Air.
Teardrop shaped iPhone 5
Thinner profile iMac (fuck, my new 55" TV has a thinner profile than my 2011 iMac
)
Possible discontinuing of Mac Pro and/or iPod Classic
iCloud actually working as advertised with little effort

icloud will not work
if they make a 15" air it'll defeat the purpose, I think they'll make a more robust 11" one, they had to room to give us an sd they just didn't, I think they'll upgrade the 11" to sd and usb 3.0

I suspect the "Air" distinction will disappear, and they'll just become the new Macbooks. You'll have 11, 13, and 15 inch Macbooks that are thin as hell, and 15 and 17 inch Pros left over, though that may not be this year.

Apple always does a great job of making people feel like the thing they own is hot shit, right up until the moment the new new is announced, at which point your shit becomes old and busted. It's a bummer, but I'd change possible to probable. The Mac Pro rumors are really disappointing (though I guess you can't really argue with sales figures), but spinning magnetic platter hard drives were never very well suited for mobile devices anyway. They had a good run. I'll miss the sad face iPod.
