I am deeply offended at being called mongoloid.

I believe you mean Mongol. Let's not undermine each other's citizenship. That's racist.

Robert - thankyou for your timely and thoughtful reminder on forum behaviour. I was getting really tired of things round here lately.

I have lots of great friends, colleagues and relatives with whom I can argue about politics and ethics, etc.etc., and there's much less possibility of being misconstrued/misunderstood - wilfully or otherwise - in a real-life situation.

But I have considerably less mates who love playing music AND making it AND like to enthuse about the process of recording and performing AND are slighly geeky about some aspect of recording gear AND who also use ABLETON LIVE for fuxxache & so on & so on.

That's why I liked visiting this place.

+1.

That pretty much sums up everything that anyone posting here should consider when posting here. I have approximately NO MATES that are even slight;y interested in music production.

I have to confess_

I never make music, use live or really know what it is:-

You see, I'm a whats known as a 'Predatory Audiophile' -

I come on here to 'groom' nerdy musicians to use in my sadistic fantasies.

I have enourmous amounts of pictures and video's of geeks in headphones some of which are using mixers and controllers (its the knobs you know  ), stored in the depths of my hard drive away from prying eyes.

I do intend to seek help but the internet has opened so many avenues that I find it hard to stop.

Normaly start off by pretending to be a wanna be producer...drop in terms such as 'Side-chain compression' and 'Zero cross-over' into the converstation and have even been known to visit to 'gigs' to seek out my pray.

Well, its all out in the open now, appologies for anyone I've given advice to or suggested music to listen to....Its all been a sham I'm afraid - I am in fact tone deaf and really listen to the likes Neil Diamond, Scottish Pipe Band music and Scooter.

Boy, that was cathartic, ......Think I'll go off for quick date with 'madam palm and her five lovely daughters', of course washed down with and a nice cold glass of council-pop (UK: water).
Live (yoghurt) - MBP- Circuit Bent Rampant Rabbit - Mongolian Nose Flute - 'The Marvelous Mechanical Mouse Organ' (on loan from Bagpuss) and a Swanee Whistle made from a used heroin syringe.
