:P

I feel that you're slightly over-exaggerating the combined weight of tactile hardware it would take to get relatively the same amount of control you can get with an iPad. But if you do feel that's an accurate comparison then I can see why you're so enamored with iPad controller apps.

:x
Over exaggerate? In this thread?

NEVER.

you mean it does that even on the ipad2 ?

Nay. iPad2 is fine.

But it would be the height of irresponsibility for starv stu to buy an iPad before the release the iPad 4. There's just not enough reasons or data out there for anybody to make an informed decision at this point. And with the release of a new Android tablet every 3 weeks there may never be a valid reason to buy an iPad ever. I think more questions need to be asked.

I like some of the things Google does but they are like the arts and crafts fair of tech and take encouraging employee side projects to the extreme. Throwing all sorts of shit at the wall to see what sticks isn't usually a good business model if that's what ends up defining your company.

Rejoice haters. There might finally be competition for the iPad.

Shockingly the only complaints about it seem to be with Android OS and it's open DOA source ecosystem.

I got word this morning that starving student's “before I buy an ipad” questions on this forum just surpassed the word count of the collective screen plays of Quentin Tarantino. So why should he quit while he’s ahead and just go out and buy one already. :x

all iPads aside that ASUS is a nice looking piece of gadget. i saw it a few days ago and was impressed by the potential. ASUS make great motherboards and i've heard good things about their laptops too. i respect that company so i hope they don't go the way of HP and all the other dumbfucks who keep trying to topple the iPad in the technological equivalent of King of the Mountain or Capture the Flag.

at this point i'd be entertained just knowing that someone else is playing the game. Samsung ran home to his mommy and HP broke his dick. Amazon is that neighbor kid that is smarter than most kids, but twice as annoying as a result - he's too little to play this game so the iPad just sits there looking down on everyone. when you got it ya got it...

I stopped using PCs in the 2004-2005ih time frame, but I remember Asus being a manufacture to keep an eye on, kind of the well known unknown brand that had quality and didn't need the marketing or bells and whistles of the competitors.

Gentlemen,

Any recommendations for presentation-style/powerpoint-ish apps for the iPad? Want to do an image-based presentation, in landscape orientation, so I could just do it on the laptop and convert to PDF and display on the iPad using iBooks, right? Don't need any fancy transitions, though embedded video might be nice. Oh, and it'll be displayed on the iPad, don't need a connection to a bigger screen/projector... ideas?
