BoddAH: it's a "grass is greener" thing with me. when i don't have gear, i feel like i can't make music. when i have it and get annoyed with maintenance, cabling things up, lack of space for it all, etc... then i feel like i wish i just used a laptop. writing is much easier for me this way, though.

well worth it for the relatively small cost.
I can also vouch for the PRE73. I run everything through it now.
Sounds brilliant on vox and adds great coulour.

Been slowing building up my studio, and now I'm really happy with it. Pictures are kind of crappy quality (iPhone camera)...

That’s kind of what I have in mind. No fuss, just the essential stuff and Ableton + Komplete to still be able to make any sound I can imagine.
Only difference is I have a PC + MacBook though.

Been assembling this over the last few months. I'm pretty happy with it at this point. Not the ideal spot for a studio, but it was the only space I had available.
