And if a developer releases an app that they feel can't even justify charging somebody a dollar for and their sub par work should be subsidized by being a mobile billboard, they're a disgrace to the Apple app ecosystem. Fuck them. And fuck all you. Hope all your little iCrap kickstarter projects are funding well because I'm closing this bitch down by noon."

Well spoken. I'd quote that if my current quote wasn't epic enough already.

When I get an iPad 3 I will probably use my iPad 2 exclusively for music apps and then maybe I’ll give them more solid attention. May sound stupid or extravagant, but it’s not far off from people who have music only computers with no other type software on them, partially because they don’t want performance issues but for some partially because they don’t want to be distracted by the possibility of checking their email or this forum when working on music. :x

Folks - such is the state of the internet, that this thread is the first place I go to for iPad questions... :x

So I have a pile of original DVDs that I'd like to give a new lease of life to by watching on my iPad. What's the easiest (actually: cheapest) way to rip/convert them to iPad? Is it going to be one of those cases where if I'd illegally downloaded the films from torrents, it'd actually be easier to do?

BTW - thanks for the earlier presentation SW advice - bought Keynote for the iPad, but then got distracted by the excellent Prezi software...

Handbrake is the way to go. Best converter out there, and free.

And if you want to go one more step with tagging awesomeness get the $10 iVI application from the Mac App store, drag your ripped file to the program, double click the file to bring up the info screen, type in the name of the movie in the appropriate box, hit the search button and from the interwebz database it will auto-populate the synopsis, actors, director, rating, date of release, and movie poster. Click save to existing file and your shit is ace PRO.

I was wondering if I should get the Korg iElectribe for iPad. Is it worth it? I'm the kind of guy who'd starve for a whole day until I get home where the food is free.
