dude, 2400 sq ft. is nothing to sneeze at. and besides... in real estate it's "location, location, location"

Sounds plenty to me. I wouldn't ever want to live in a huge ass mantion/house/castle. Imagine if something creaks somewhere in the house. I'd never be able to sleep with the lights off 8O

^ that's what i'm saying!

the other thing that could happen is that the floor creeks while you're playing a song in Logic that you mixed down in Live and you mistake that sound for the .00000000000000000003% percent difference in audio files. it means every time there's a storm you could be freaked out, staring at your monitor... typing up a new Live sound engine thread.

2,400 would be fine for most people but if I had his kind of money I’d want at least 1 cavernous room for music and gatherings. That alone could be 2,400.

But more importantly I’d want acreage. My uncle is a retired Microsoft millionaire and his mansion aside, it’s sitting on some serious forested acreage with his own private jogging trail weaving through the woods including a bridged stream. It’s bad-fucking-ass!

Then there’s his 3 story with elevator beach front summer home. That’s a little much. I don’t need that.

In my small room I've pinpointed and memorized all the 573195713957913579317593175913 ways that sound can be reflected from my speakers.

Imagine if I had a much bigger room. There's no way I'd be able to tell 64 bit summing busses from 128 bit ones with all the interfering creaks. :x

But there's no trees! And despite all the green talk in this country it cost a damn fortune to plant even 1 tree. And I reckon if trees could even survive there they would be there already. :x

That’s why you’d build a room within the room within a taco within another taco within a Taco Bell within a KFC. :x

wrong.

"Texas, it's like a whole other country"... was the tourist advertising slogan some years back... and it's true. not a lot of snow.. some, but no much. other than that... you have every kind of terrain imaginable. beats, it literally take all day to drive from El Paso to the Louisiana border. there are trees, forests, shrubs, mountains, hills, desserts, plains, tumble weeds, beaches, concrete and stucco covering all of it.

you'd have to re-learn how to hear the aliasing on sine wave automations too. :( whew... my ears are tired just thinking about it.

Right but the land for sale on the cheap is the tumbleweed wasteland that makes up stereotypical Texas. :x

i started to agree with this statement and then i remembered... oh shit i'm in Cali... and so is beats.

dude where i grew up... you can buy a 3 bedroom home for about 140,000... yes, that's U.S. dollars. what that means is that you and your other half can both work at Wal-Mart making minimum wage and pay for your house.

oh and BTW... pretty much all the lots down there have a healthy size to them. 1/4 or 1/2 acre is pretty common.

don't let the bullshit property prices in this neck of the woods fool you. most of the country is not like that... especially when you put a few miles between your property and any thriving metropolis i.e. Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas Ft. Worth...

my brother just sold his house on the south outskirts of Dallas for 174,000 and made a little profit.

seriously. google Corpus Christi... and start looking around there if you like beaches at all. otherwise look around Temple or Tyler if you want woods. Austin is the shit but it's getting crowded around there... it's no secret how fookin awesome that city is.

the tumbleweed shit is mostly west Texas... the closer you get to New Mexico the more like a Coyote and Roadrunner cartoon it looks.

I just made the sickest and slickest bassline when goofing around in Live.

Now I just need the rest of a song to back it up. Goddamit. There's nothing that's perfect enough for my bassline. :x
