I was thinking the same thing. I can understand when people just don't have the room or space to do that, but so many set up here have more than enough room to do it right...

Question about monitor placement:
Is there any problem with having objects that are slightly blocking the monitors (ie. laptop screen in front of monitors)? Will it wreck the sound? Is there an amount that is allowable?

Not a 'professional' opinion but I would say it's not good to have anything in the way of your speakers.. Nothing.

I stole that ashtray from the Roxy in LA in 1979- It was the night Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson recorded his live album there...It's where I keep my picks.
